These 2 & 4 stroke, power-limited motors (200watts to keep them road legal) are the best petrol add-ons available. They run a hardened rollor on the tyre that gives excellent traction and push even in wet conditions. We make up KITBIKES ready to go, complete with guards and lights. This bike is a Bolwell S7 Shaft drive bike teamed with a 4 stroke GOMO and will easily cruise at 30kph. The petrol tank is good for approx 45kms. Hills, headwinds,heat and humidity are a thing of the past with a GOMO power-assist motor.

With the advent of something popular and practical, there will always be poor imitations. Beware of cheap bikes and motor kits (petrol or electric) usually sold on eBay or 'here today gone tomorrow' websites. These products are often too powerful (over the legal 200watt limit) and offering outstanding performance with full backup service. Don't believe the hype, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Don't be waste your money and end up disappointed. Some of these products are even unsafe, poorly made and even lethal.

A 200watt motor (AB1996 compliant) is physically capable of a max speed of 30kph. A whipper-snipper motor has approximately 1.2k watts, of power and is totally illegal. If you decide to fit one to your bike and are caught you will be fined over $600 in QLD. The police know the difference and consult the industry leaders regularly. If you buy from the net (eBay or similar) or shonky imitation operators, you cannot expect a specialist, longlife, quality product.
